MUSIC CITY GIVES BACK 2017 TURNS INTO NASHVILLE PREDATORS TAILGATE PARTY

Kip Moore and more country artists have signed on for the 2017 installation Rodney Atkins' annual Music City Gives Back charity concert. The event is scheduled to take place in Nashville during the week of the 2017 CMA Music Festival, and has been turned into a Nashville Predators tailgate party of sorts.

On June 5, Atkins, Moore, Granger Smith, Cole Taylor, Brett Young and Walker McGuire will perform on an outdoor stage located near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Demonbreun Street in downtown Nashville. The concert was originally scheduled for June 6, but the event's organizers moved it up a day to coincide with the Nashville Predators' second Stanley Cup Final home game.

“Nashville is a special place in the way that people in this community truly support one another, and this is another great example of Nashville and the music industry coming together to support the kids and future of our community,” Atkins says in a press release. “As an artist, I’m blessed to be able to call Nashville home and grateful for the opportunity to give back through music with this event every year.”

The 2017 Music City Gives Back concert will benefit the W.O. Smith Music School. The show is free and open to the public, with the first acts scheduled to take the stage at 1PM; the day will also feature opportunities for fans to meet some of the artists and grab autographs beginning at 10AM. Event sponsors Carl Black Chevrolet and Wrangler will live stream the concert for those that can't make it to Music City, and concertgoers are invited to stick around to watch the hockey game, which is scheduled to begin at 8PM. More information about the event can be found on Music City Gives Back's Facebook page.

The 2017 CMA Music Festival officially runs June 8-‐11, but there are events such as the Music City Gives Back concert happening all week throughout Nashville. For more information on tickets and performers at CMA Fest 2017, visit the CMA Music Festival’s official website. A TV special featuring highlights from the event, CMA Fest 2017, will air on ABC sometime this summer; exact broadcast details will be announced at a later date.
